Old Barns

Sometimes when Mom and Dad have to go across town they take the back roads.
Mom likes old broken down barns and will make dad stop so she can get a photo.

These were taken a few weeks ago.

Mom had no idea there was a cow by the barn.
That happens when you use a cell phone to take photos.

Sunday Drives are the best.

Have a wonderful Easter.

Astro, Mitzie, Linda and Jeff.

  1. Old barns sure are interesting picture taking subjects. Our dad likes to take those kinds of pictures too.

  2. Our Mama is the same way!!

  3. Our Dad's father owned a tobacco farm and there were all kinds of barns and sheds in their home town. Mom says it was always fun for her to see the barns since she was a real city girl.

  6. oh that is beautiful! the mama is a fan of old barns too, but ours are not so beautiful like yours... but nevertheless they inspire us to stories and memories about da past. Happy Hoppy Easter to you!

  7. We love the old barns too. If only they could talk they could tell us so much good stuffs!

  8. glad you got your Sunday ride and mom could show us these beautiful barns. I love cows almost as much as I love dogs....

  9. Oh the memories you've brought back (thank you!). Love your photos ... in my young days, riding motorcycles ... on "blue" roads we'd always see so many wonderful old barns and farms, and many had big advertising signs (albeit faded ones) on the sides! And then there was my watercolor teacher who could paint the best 'n' meanest barn you ever saw and put me to shame with my watery-mess. Again, great pics, thanks for sharing.

  10. Ohhhh I too love old barns and the stories my mind's eye imagines
    Hugs Cecilia

  11. My ghostwriter passes a few barns on her way to work. Maybe she should take some pictures.

  12. cool to live in such an area! I love old structures and I've asked my husband to stop a few times...he's a good sport, too.
